Repair and Recertification Information
SRL Repair and Recertification Self Retracting Lifelines are designed for rugged use. They are, however, mechanical devices that may require service at some point during their use life. In particular SRLs should be serviced after a fall has occurred. In the event of a fall, the SRL should be taken out of service and returned to the manufacturer or service center immediately.

Additionally, through normal wear and use, your SRL may develop signs of a problem - excessive noise during deployment, or the movement not being as smooth as when new are two signs of wear. In any case, please either contact us or the manufacturer to get your unit on the road to recovery.

Miller Fall Protection
Current model SRLs from Miller do not require annual re-certification in the US. Their inspection and repair facility is located in Franklin, PA. When arranging to have your fall arrest device worked on, contact Miller Technical Support at 800-873-5242.

They will require some information from you - the model and serial numbers. Then they will issue a Return Authorization (RA) number. Miller promises a 3-day turn around once the unit has been received with all the proper documentation. As always, after a fall occurs, all components of the fall arrest system should be removed from service, including the SRL, the harness worn, as well as any lanyards and carabiners.
