Rebel 33 Foot Self Retracting Lifeline

The Rebel 33' Self-Retracting Lifeline from Protecta (a division of Capital Safety) is a lightweight and durable piece of fall protection equipment. Suitable for any types of work at heights, when affixed to an appropriate roof anchor the Rebel can stop a fall in a matter of inches, whereas a traditional fixed lanyard can take up to a couple of feet. Not only this, but the retractable nature of the lanyard means there is reduced tripping or snagging of the line while it is in use - increasing safety across the board.

There are a variety of options available for the Rebel 33 FT, with highly portable or tough, corrosion resistant casings as well as different quality lines for different types of work site.

Tough thermoplastic housing or aluminum casings are available, both of which make the Rebel 33' extremely strong and nigh on indestructible. The thermoplastic housing is dent proof, lightweight and features a built in carrying handle, while the aluminum casing is a more industrial and corrosion resistant model. Both of which fully protect the stainless steel inner parts, ensuring the long lifespan of this SRL.

The line itself comes in two options; the durable 5mm thick galvanized steel is hard wearing and long lasting; a great choice for the vast majority of work sites. While the stainless steel cabling is a step up in terms of durability and is ideal for highly corrosive work sites and marine or coastal environments.

Either way the Rebel range features specially designed speed-sensing brakes serve to arrest a fall before the forces become too strong, which also reduces site clearance requirements. The 420 lb load limit means that most workers can happily don a range of tools and still stay protected. While the 3600 lb gate limit prevents any accidental roll out, while moving around the site.

The Rebel features a spinning anchor attachment as well as a swivel hook connector, both of which serve to reduce twisting of the cable and make for a more pleasant and reassuring working environment.

An impact load indicator is built right into the SRL webbing of the Rebel 33'; this is triggered should the SRL arrest a fall, clearly indicating that the device should be remove from active service as its strength can no longer be guaranteed.

The Rebel 33' is OSHA and ANSI rated for strength and durability making it a great and comprehensive way to ensure on site fall safety for construction workers, roofers, tree care specialists (arborists), gas or oilrig engineers, or anyone else performing a spot of work at heights.
