With this you know you will be getting everything you need to operate the tripod and will not have to worry about missing a piece of the puzzle. The tripod offers a 5000 lb. anchor point, and all gear conforms to OSHA and ANSI standards.
DBI Protecta 8FT Tripod
The AK105A Confined Space Entry and Retrieval Tripods are designed to keep workers safe while entering and exiting a confined space. This is a tripod that will meet your budget but also meet all the ratings put out there by OSHA and ANSI.
Easy to operate: anybody can set this unit up. the legs pull out to your required length and snap into place. Each leg is adjustable to 8 different height just in case the area where you are working is not even. There is also an adjustable leg cable that connects to all 3 legs to keep them from spreading under the load.
The tripod itself is made from aluminum with the head of the tripod being cast aluminum and the legs being anodized aluminum. Each leg has reflective safety tape helping with visibility at night along with anti-skid on the feet of the tripod.
As a single anchorage point the tripod is rated at 5,000 lbs. Meets OSHA 1910 & ANSI Z359.1-1998 standards for confined-space entry devices.
Protecta AK205AG Winch
The AK205AG comes with 50 feet of 3/16 in. cable. Other lengths are available, but this has been the most popular. The winch is man-rated, and meets or exceeds UL requirements for load capacity. It is available in a variety of lengths and utilizes galvanized or (optional) stainless steel 3/16 in. diameter cable. It features a detachable handle, oil impregnated bearings, a safety lock, and a corrosion-resistant finish. Winching speed is typically 20 fpm at a 4:1 ratio. The winch is man-rated at 310 lbs. It includes four disc brakes and is manufactured domestically. The AK200 Series Winch is simple to operate in that to reverse direction, you just turn the handle in the opposite direction. No manipulation of components is required.
Capital Safety 8002305 Snatch Block Pulley
The 8003205 pulley is the final piece of the puzzle and necessary for the AK105A tripod to work. The pulley is used in conjunction with the winch to help guide the winch cable directly down into your confined space, manhole, etc. There are no tools needed for installation as the pulley hangs from the tripod eye bolt and attaches with a self-locking push pin.
