Capital Safety AE57610 FIRST 6ft Pack-Style Shock Absorbing Lanyard

Capital Safety’s Protecta AE57610 FIRST Pack-Style Shock Absorbing Lanyard is 6 feet long, with 1-3/4 inch wide polyester webbing, and two AJ523A (.8 inch opening) double-locking snaphooks. The shock absorber is encased in a transparent, heat-shrunk, UV-resistant plastic cover.

The shock absorber is designed to absorb the energy of an impact load through the controlled tearing action of specially sewn layers of webbing. The device will activate when a force of approximately 675 lbs. is applied, and will continue as long as the force of fall arrest meets or exceeds this value. This results in a maximum extended length of 42 inches (in addition to the original 6 foot length). If the unit becomes fully extended, a nylon strap incorporated into the device acts as a 100% back-up strap.
