The ALTAIR Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas detector from MSA is a lightweight, hassle-free unit that provides over two years of continuous, reliable gas monitoring. The ALTAIR H2S monitor is ideal for petrochemical or natural gas work and meets OSHA standards requirements for the detection of this potentially harmful gas.

Durable Casing - Rubber armor offers extra protection against falls and water ingress. Radio frequency interference protection is available too, so the ALTAIR is suited to big industrial environments. Rated to IP67 standards of protection, prevents water or dust getting into the sensor, giving you reliable detection for over two years (and continuing as long as sensor and battery life permit).

Each ALTAIR single gas detector comes with a signed certificate of calibration for your records.

As the sensor is never truly turned off, long ‘wake up’ periods are avoided, so the ALTAIR is ready to tackle the work site whenever your are.

A sturdy alligator clip let’s you easily and securely attach the unit to a belt or shirt while you work.

For calibration and bump testing, the unit features a built-in delivery adapter, so there are no small accessories to lose (which is always a hidden cost).

The standard three alarm modes are here: sonic, visual and vibration warnings alert you to any danger, no matter how noisy your work environment.

Features a bright, backlit LCD screen, and with the one-button operation can access peak levels and other functions easily.

Proprietary sensor design means the unit is incredibly thin (weighing only 4oz), and sensor leakage is all but eliminated.

The ALTAIR single-gas sniffer stores 25 alarm events as well as peak values over its usage. An optional IR transmitter can be used to transfer the data to a PC with the included Link software.
