The ExoFit NEX Wind Energy Construction Harness is a tough, comfortable all day work harness for wind turbine construction workers and other work at heights professionals. Built with the expertise and input of the Capital Safety Wind Energy Team (professionals from the world over), to give real innovations that make a real difference in the day-to-day use of their personal protective equipment (PPE).
DBI-Sala has built something practical, comfortable and convenient; aimed at professionals who will be wearing the kit for extended periods of time:
Incredibly strong the ExoFit can take a load up to 140kgs, which is more than enough to allow you to carry tools, too. Giving you maximum on site flexibility.
Innovative developments like Revolver torso adjustment (which easily locks in place, meaning you only need one adjustment per day), quick connect buckles (Duo-Lok) and suspension relief straps (letting you loosen leg straps, without the need to remove the harness) all make the ExoFit a great piece of kit to wear.
Integrated padding, a breathable mesh and soft edging on the shoulders, waist and leg loops, keeps you comfortable, preventing chafing. The addition of replaceable lumbar support on the waist belt makes this an ideal harness for construction work at extreme heights.
High strength, low weight Tech-Lite aluminum D-rings are featured on the front, sides and rear of the harness; with the rear D-ring featuring a patented spring loaded, ‘stand up’ D-ring for hassle free tying in. Tech-Lite kit is traditionally only the fare of the military or aerospace industries, so you can be sure that this is up to the task or securing your workforce.
On top of all the safety kit, there is a wealth of useful little tools: molded lanyard keepers are present (and pop open safely to prevent any snagging hazards), removable tool loops are on the belt and a radio, cell phone or Lad-Saf Sleeve pouch can happily be attached to the shoulder straps.
The ExoFIt comes with DBI-SALA’s revolutionary equipment tracking system: i-Safe. Using the power of RFID tags to log each piece of equipments serial number, maintenance history it allows you to keep up to date with maintenance checks and accountability via a simple online interface. The tags are battery free; grease, salt water and dust resistant, and easily read via handheld detectors.
On top of physical strengths and weaknesses of this innovation-packed piece of PPE fall protection gear the ExoFit has reflective strips for nighttime work, and Rip-Stitch impact load indicators sewn simply into the rear of the device. The webbing is entirely water-resistant and abrasion resistant, making it ideal for coastal or offshore work.
