The ExoFit NEX Five-Point Wind Energy Climbing Harness is an incredibly feature-rich work at heights harness. A formidable piece of personal protective equipment (PPE), it combines strong, safe construction with a raft of features for comfort and ease of use.
Making full use of Capital Safety’s Wind Energy Team (experts in work at heights and wind turbine construction from all over the world), the harness is easy to don and designed to be worn all day long.
Designed around a single piece of X-shaped fabric the NEX features integrated padding and breathable mesh on the shoulder straps and leg loops, has soft edges to avoid chafing and nipping, even when tight. In fact the harness is designed to move with you while you work, removing the feeling of restriction normally associated with wearing a harness.
Capable of taking a load up to 140kg, this is one serious harness that also offers you the opportunity of carrying tools; ideal for extended work sessions where flexibility is key.
For a super strength to weight ratio the NEX’s D-rings are built from Tech-Lite super strong aluminum. These D-rings are present on the front, sides and rear of the harness (the rear D-ring is spring loaded to stand up; making tying off a simple affair).
Quick lock buckles, Revolver adjustable torso straps make donning the harness a quick and easy affair, and offer a lasting fit, so adjustments need only be performed once a day. Suspension relief straps on the legs allow you to release the leg loops without having to remove the harness, giving you flexibility and blood flow when you are back on the ground.
Integrated into the harness (and protected with a Velcro pouch) is DBI-SALA’s innovative i-Safe equipment management system. Log serial numbers, maintenance checks and more, letting you keep track of checks and stay up to spec with accountability easily. Using battery free RFID tags (grease, dust and salt-water proof), and read by handheld detectors, the data is logged and stored online in a secure web portal, substantially reducing the workload of equipment procurement managers.
Rip-Stitch indicators are in place on the rear of the harness, letting you quickly and simply check the integrity of the NEX and judge whether it has taken a significant impact. The webbing on the harness is waterproof and abrasion resistant, preventing the growth of mould that might damage your equipment.
To make sure the harness fits well, providing maximum security and comfort a range of sizes (from S-XXL), all of which are OSHA, ANSI and CE certified, meaning you can use them globally!
