DBI/SALA 55ft Leading Edge SRL 3504600

The Leading Edge Ultra-Lok SRL is a little different from the standard styles. There is a shock absorber pack on the end of the lifeline cable. The idea of this feature is that if a fall occurs where you might be going over the edge of a roof (for instance), the built-in braking system of the SRL will be rendered useless. With most of your weight being transferred to the roof edge, you could be subject to forces above the mandated 900 lb. limit. Hence the extra shock absorber.

The Ultra-Lok series of SRLs are constructed using stainless steel working components, a swiveling anchorage loop to prevent twisting, and a reserve lifeline retention system for added safety.

The housing is durable aluminum and (optionally) mounts into DBI/SALA's leading edge concrete anchor to form a complete system. It has 55ft of 7/32 in. galvanized steel wire rope for added wear and cut resistance. It also contains an anti-ratcheting twin brake system with audio indicator so that you know it is functioning properly. It exceeds all applicable industry standards including OSHA and ANSI Z359-2007. Weighs 30 lbs.
