Confined Space Entry Contractors Kit

This Confined Space Contractors Kit contains all that is needed to enter a confined space safely and within regulations. We have included the basics which are a tripod and everything to go with it to make it function - a winch, a harness, a ventilation blower and a confined space gas monitor.

RAE Systems QRAE II

Featuring an internal sample pump capable of pulling air samples from the confined space before you or your team enters, the QRAE II continues to monitor the air after entry, and lets the user know of any problems with a three-part alarm system: audible alarm at 85dB, strobe LED lights, and a vibration alarm for loud work environments.

Protecta AK105A Tripod
The AK105A tripod is your basin run of the mill tripod. It has 3 legs that are 8 feet long. They each have locking pins so that you can adjust to 8 different heights to make it balance evenly on the surface you are working on.

The tripod legs are made out of anodized aluminum rectangular tubing. On each leg you will find reflective tape so that if working on the street the visibility is a lot higher. On each leg you will also have skid-resistant tread on each foot.

As a single anchorage point the tripod is rated at 5,000 lbs. Meets OSHA 1910 & ANSI Z359.1-1998 standards for confined-space entry devices.

Protecta AK205A 50 Foot Winch
The AK200 Series winch is a man-rated winch that meets or exceeds the UL requirements for load capacity. It is designed for safe entry into a confined space that is not designed for people to continuously enter.

The AK200 winch comes in many lengths and has 2 options when it comes to the type of cable used. You have the option of galvanized which is a less rugged cable and stainless steel, which will hold up on more rugged weather. It features a handle that is detachable, a safety lock, a finish that is corrosion resistant and four disc breaks. The winching speed of this winch is 20 fpm at a 4:1 ratio and is man-rated at 310 lbs.

8 Inch Ventilation Blower, Canister and 25 FT Ducting
This versatile ventilation system has an 8-inch blower with attached canister storing 25 ft of ducting - perfect for clearing confined spaces of dust or fumes. The lightweight unit has a quick-connect clipping system which allows the canister to be attached tools-free to the input side for powerful extraction or the output side for ventilation. The 25 ft of ducting stores conveniently within the canister.

Snatch Block Pulley 800320
This snatch block hangs from the tripod eye bolt for routing primary winch cable or a back-up mechanical device's (winch or self retracting lifeline) cable. Meets or exceeds OSHA and ANSI requirements. This versatile pulley or snatch block is secured through the eye-bolt with a self locking push pin.
