The AK105A tripod has been one of our most popular selling tripods. This tripod is priced just right for those of you looking for a more traditional tripod.
The AK105A weighs only 39 lbs. and is 65” in overall length, making it easy to transport from job to job. Once you open the legs of the tripod they automatically lock into position. Once this happen you are able to adjust each leg to its own length to make up for any uneven surfaces you may have. An adjustable length cable connects the legs to control spreading under the load and is integral to the strength of the device.
The tripod head is made of cast aluminum and the legs are made of an anodized aluminum. When ordering the tripod please note that the winch and the pulley do not come with the unit but can be ordered separately. We have also put together these as a separate kit so it is a one touch order. We call it the Protecta Tripod Kit.
As a single anchorage point the tripod is rated at 5,000 lbs. Meets OSHA 1910 & ANSI Z359.1-1998 standards for confined-space entry devices.
Can be used in conjunction with the Protecta AK200 Series Winch.
