Capital Safety's DBI-SALA 1241460 EZ-STOP Retrax Shock Absorbing Lanyard is the world's first ever shock absorbing lanyard that is designed to automatically retract in order to fit the working area. This provides for a unique alternative to the elasticized lanyards, such as the DBI Shockwave2 Lanyard.
With smooth and consistent retraction, this is able to go from 2-1/2 feet up to a max of 6 feet. For added flexibility, the lanyard's retraction length is adjustable to allow the user to limit the retraction at any interval between the 2-1/2 and 6 feet. The retraction technology featured here is similar to that seen in airport security lines, and ensures that the lanyard is kept taught and close to the individual's body at all times. By keeping taut, snagging and dragging associated with this lanyard is reduced, diminishing trip fall hazards.
In the event of a fall, the lanyard will fully extend before beginning the deceleration and shock absorbing.
The EZ-STOP Retrax weighs a mere 2 pounds and increases productivity with its ease-of-use and smooth retraction, with no irritating lock-ups. Meets or exceeds all applicable industry standards including OSHA, ANSI and the stringent ANSI Z359.
