Capital Safety 3600000 Rescue Positioning Device System

The Rescue Positioning Device System (RPD) from Capital Safety's DBI/SALA range of work at height and confined space access equipment is designed to be used as either a piece of emergency technical rescue equipment or as work positioning kit, allowing you to get a fixed position when working at heights without the awkward need to tie off, letting you get the job done quickly and hassle free.

A clear visual indicator on the pulley shows whether the user is in ascent/descent mode or locked off; making raising and lowering a breeze - it can even be done but the operator alone (you have the option of utilizing a rope grip handle to facilitate the process ,too). To get out of the ‘locked-in’ mode, simply tug at the line to reactivate the travelling mode and you can be on your way to a new working position.

Available in two different pulley configurations, the RPD from DBI-SALA comes in 3:1 or 4:1 pulley ratios offering you the choice of mechanical advantage or speed. For added safety the Work Positioning Device features an inbuilt inertial brake, so should the user lose control of the pulley system it will act to arrest a fall.

Coming completely pre-rigged and in a carrying case the system is good to go and contains everything you need for quick rescue and retrieval or work positioning: RPD, connecting sling, hooks, rescue sling, pulley and the durable nylon carrying bag. All of which makes for an incredibly rapid and simple set up; just hook the device to an appropriate anchor point or utilize the strap and you are ready to go.

It is worth nothing that this Rescue Positing Device is not rated as fall protection to OSHA standards, and should be used alongside an appropriate harness and fall arrest solution, such as a self-retracting lifeline or lanyard to ensure complete on site safety.

The Rescue Positioning Device, and pulley are both corrosion resistant: made of anodized aluminum and stainless steel parts for a long working life. The casing of the device is powder coated for extra durability, making the whole RPD set up suitable for most any work environment.

1. Specify Model: 3600000 with 3:1 Ratio OR 3602000 with 4:1 Ratio 2. Specify Rope Footage as calculated below: For 3600000, multiply working travel length by 4 and add 10 feet. For 3602000, multiply working travel length by 5 and add 10 feet.

For example, if you have a working length of 30 feet and wanted a 3:1 ratio, you would multiply 30FT x 4 and add 10FT to arrive at 130FT. This would be part number 3600130.
